Self-Paced On-Line Certification Training

You asked for it and we’ve listened!

We’re excited to announce, we have launched our on-line self-paced certification training. This  includes our well known Administrator Leader and Train the Trainer certification courses.

We’ve also developed on-line self-paced Level 2 (Re-Certification) courses for Administrator Leader and Train the Trainer, with all new content and resources.

We’ve been in the studio filming engaging video training and we are so excited to share this new video format with you. The courses include downloadable resources and PowerPoints, discussion boards, case studies, articles, videos, quizzes, and assignments. 

With this new format you no longer need to wait until the next webinar or on-site certification course – you can become certified when it’s convenient for you!

What certification courses are available?

  • Administrator/Leader Level 1: Learn how to administer, implement and maintain a strong abuse prevention program.
  • Train the Trainer Level 1: Learn how to train your volunteers and staff on abuse prevention and vulnerable sector protection.
  • Administrator/Leader Level 2 (Re-Certification): Learn how to maintain and strengthen your abuse prevention program and assess and evaluate your strengths and gaps.
  • Train the Trainer Level 2 (Re-Certification): Learn how to keep training new, interesting and engaging, learn strategies for overcoming training challenges and obstacles, and creative methods and tips for trainers.

Can I take just one course?
Absolutely! Depending on your role within your organization you may only need one course.  

Who should take the Level 2 training?
Once we receive your registration, our team will determine if you should take the original course, or re-certification, and send you the appropriate invitation for that course.

How much will the courses cost?
Our Administrator/Leader and Train the Trainer Level 1 courses will cost $295+tax per course (member and license discounts apply).

Level 2 (Re-Certification) courses will cost $200+tax per course (discounts do not apply).

How long will the course take? 
Level 1: Students have 12 total weeks to complete the course and all of the assignments. The courses have 6 modules plus the final assignment. We recommend they do one module a week with remaining time being used for the final assignment. But they can absolutely work faster if they’d like. Each module includes readings, downloads, a video (or two), forum participation, review and an assignment/activity (on average it takes people 1-2 hours per module plus time for assignments).

Level 2: Students have 8 total weeks to complete the course and all of the assignments. The courses have 4 modules plus the final assignment. We recommend they do one module a week with remaining time being used for the final assignment. But they can absolutely work faster if they’d like. Each module includes readings, downloads, a video (or two), forum participation, review and an assignment/activity (on average it takes people 1-2 hours per module plus time for assignments).

What if I can’t finish the course in the allotted time?
We recommend signing up for the course when you know that you will be able to successfully complete the course on schedule. Plan to Protect® reserves the right to offer extensions based on emergencies.

Will there be assignments?
Yes, there will be assignments. We have specifically chosen these practical assignments to correlate to the content in each module and to assist with learning. We also believe these assignments directly relate to implementing and maintaining abuse prevention within your organization.

Do I have to do the assignments? 
To be able to proceed through the course, participants must complete all assignments or they will receive an incomplete and will not be able to proceed.

How do I register?

Can we take the course as a group?
If you have multiple individuals who would like to take the courses, we recommend you register them individually, so they can proceed through the course at their own pace.

Please note: if your organization has a large group of participants who would need training, we do offer private certification webinars and on-site trainings for groups of 8 people or more.
