At the heart of Advent is love—the love of God made visible through Christ’s coming. Safeguarding is a practical expression of this love. It shows up in the choices we make to protect others: setting boundaries, planning well, supervising carefully, and placing the safety of the vulnerable above our own convenience. Love compels us to acknowledge the realities of harm and to take real, consistent steps to prevent it. When we steward our roles with responsibility, we reflect a love that protects, restores, and honours the dignity of every person.
Love also calls us to perseverance. Safeguarding takes ongoing effort, humility, and a willingness to keep learning. It invites us to listen to those who have experienced harm and to ensure they are met with compassion and care. During this Advent season, may the love we celebrate in Christ inspire us to lead with courage—choosing practices that keep people safe and create communities where the vulnerable are cherished, supported, and deeply valued.
At Plan to Protect®, we are committed to providing our members and clients the HIGHEST STANDARD of safeguarding and abuse prevention. We are deeply grateful to our community who join us in raising the bar on protection.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas!
