Position:  Summer Student Intern Office Asst.  

Reports to:  Asst. to the President

37.5 hours per week
Work from the office in Stouffville
April to August 2021

This position is ideal for a university student interested in learning about risk management, a social enterprise serving primarily not for profits and charities. We are committed to investing in your further learning by helping you gain experience working in an office setting. 

General:  Provide office assistance

Reports to:  Asst. to the President

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answers phones
  • Opens mail
  • Prepares bank deposits
  • Processes orders
  • Assists with shipping and inventory
  • Assists with data entry (SalesForce)
  • Provides admin assistance to the training and membership departments as needed
  • Conducts research as directed
  • Proofreading and Editing
  • Updates the website
  • Attends staff meetings
  • Complies with company policies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Submits timesheets and expense forms on a monthly basis per policy

Position: Bi-lingual Office Asst.


Reports to:  Director of Policy, Communication and Consulting

15 hours per week
6-month contract, with the possibility of the position being extended

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Service customers by answering phone inquiries, correspondence, taking phone orders, entering orders from phone calls, email, or fax 
  • Assists as needed with French member welcomes, and support calls 
  • Assists with customer service and homework assignments for students in our certification courses
  • Translation, layout and design of publications and newsletters in French
  • Assists with French website updates
  • Participates on the team responsible for translating, reviewing and publishing our French materials (Plan to Protect® manual, training material, correspondence)
  • Promotes the services and resources to a French market
  • Data entry and assists with the upkeep and maintenance of database (SalesForce) 
  • As requested, assists with member discontinuation exit interviews in French
  • Build lasting and sustaining relationships with customers. Always be ready to go the extra mile to answer questions thoroughly and professionally 
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards and grow/enhance customer satisfaction 
  • Supports event planning and execution 
  • Attends staff meetings and/or regional meetings 
  • Complies with company policies 
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience, Qualifications and Skills Needed: 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in an office setting
  • Post-secondary school
  • Experience with CRM’s preferred
  • Experience with adult learning preferred
  • Fluent in English and French both written and oral - essential. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy work environment
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Salesforce experience preferred)

Position: Inside Sales Rep

 

Position Description:
Plan to Protect® provides the STANDARD of abuse prevention and child and youth protection for organizations.  Our customized tools, training, policies and procedures help leaders and their organizations meet that standard of protection. With the help of our members and clients we continue to build our databank of best practices on risk management.

Our clients are made up of churches, schools, camps, clubs, community groups, municipalities, etc. 

Location:  Stouffville

PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT

Base:  Minimum Wage with bonuses when targets and sales are achieved. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Receive inbound calls and provide essential information about our resources and services to potential new clientele, 
  • Generate new sales by making outbound cold calls and warm calls
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions while showcasing the value added benefits.
  • Recommend resources, training, services based on qualified leads
  • Close sales, and task action items to team members
  • Schedule appointments for senior level leadership
  • Increase sales and meet monthly targets, including but not limited to daily call activity/volume, lead generation, qualified appointments and sales.
  • Accurately update and maintain the CRM with call activity and detailed notes.
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with team and other staff.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Post secondary school education or a minimum of 2 years experience in a prospecting, business development, telesales or sales role.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and the experience working in a CRM environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, together with the ability to negotiate and influence. Bilingualism (FRENCH) is preferred. 
  • A team player able to work effectively in an open concept office environment.
  • A strong ability and sensitivity to communicate with individuals from faith based organizations and immediately transition to communication with community organizations that are non-faith based.
