Customized Crisis Response Plan

Do you already have your own policies and procedures but do not have a crisis plan in case something happens? We have the expertise and knowledge to help your organization write a specific plan in the event of any sort of crisis. This plan serves as a roadmap for your organization to follow and lean on if an event were to happen, including, but not limited to, bringing in a third-party investigator.

This is what you can expect:

  • Meeting with the client to discuss the scope and sequence of this service
  • With the client we will have you complete a risk assessment S.W.O.T. (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, treats) analysis of the organization, determining what are potential crises that you or similar organizations could or have encountered.
  • Identify the stages of a crisis, the proactive and reactive steps to take at each stage, and when to activate each step.
  • Develop a crisis resource directory. The Resource directory would include internal and external stakeholders (potential resources that will be needed if a crisis occurs).  Resources will include contact information for Board members, personnel, third-party suppliers, investigators, victim advocates, public relations, insurance agents, legal counsel, and other partner organizations.
  • Identify different options for conducting an investigation while understanding when you should do them. Begin identifying procedures for how your organization will do internal investigations and when to call on a third-party investigator.
  • Draft trauma-informed media talking points.
  • An outline for a dark website which identifies content for a crisis website which remains offline until a crisis hits, at which point it is made live, and media and others concerned with the crisis are directed to it for information.  It includes the background of the organization and any details the public may want to know at the time of a crisis.
  • Document how the client will navigate interactions with the media well and learn how to respond in a crisis when the media comes knocking.
  • Ensure the plan includes the best practices for responding to and documenting a crisis.

Each of these steps is done with one of our policy experts at your side.
