Updated Policies


Whistleblower Policy (July 2020) - A policy for personnel to hold each other accountable for illegal or dishonest activities.

Video Platform Policy - (March 2020) - A new policy add on for organizations engaging online with the vulnerable sector.

Position of Trust - (July 2015) - New, more comprehensive, definition of Position of Trust

Washroom Guidelines - (June 2015) - Updated policy for washroom guidelines, due to human rights issues, we can no longer limit which gender of Personnel is allowed to assist.

Updated Bullying Policy - (March 2014) Suggested Anti-Bullying Policy and Zero Tolerance Policy

Provincial Privacy Laws & Reporting Guidelines - Document showing which Privacy Laws/Acts are used in each province, websites listing the definitions of abuse and reporting guidelines.

New Draft Media Policy
- (August 2013) an updated policy for communicating via social media, as well as computer use, photography and video taping.

Missing or Lost Child Policy - (May 2013) guidelines for action upon discovering a child has gone missing from the program.


Lockdown Policy
 - Policy for Lockdowns in the case of Emergency lockdown i.e. shooter on the campus or in the community. 


New Appendices

January 2014 - Two new forms for Diability Concerns: Information Form For Participants with Additional Needs and Interview Template for Participants with Additional Needs. Read the Disability Concerns Newsletter for more information and suggestions for the use of these forms.

014 - New Child/Youth Registration Cards - These can be used as quick registration cards for occasional visitors to your programs. Click on the name for the Child Registration Card or the Youth Registration Card.

The Youth Program Registration and Consent Form has been updated.


Informed Letter of Consent - We do not recommend a blanket permission form. It also provides a licence for sponsors and youth workers to do anything with the kids or take them anywhere without securing specific permission. Read more from Barbara Wallace (Legal Counsel on this issue.)

Informed Letter of Consent for Transportation - A letter for parents to sign giving consent for their children to ride in a motor vehicle with an organization approved driver to an event.
